Day 9

It’s taken me 4 days but I’ve finally got used to the heat / air conditioning combination and got some sleep

True the alarm went off at 03:30 and it is the last day but still, you have to savour all the little victories

We were ready by 4 and listening out of the window Malaga was still very much in party mode

We left the apartment at 4:15 to walk to the end of the alleyway and as we opened the main entrance door Joss was very dismayed to see a girl having a wee a little further into the alley

A nice farewell

We waited no more than 5 minutes and the taxi that Eloise had recommended dutifully arrived

Within 25 minutes we’d arrived at the airport and no more that 20 later we’d checked our bags in and were through security

We both ate some dry ham and cheese baguettes washed down with orange juice and a coffee for joss

Our plane then was ready but we waited in our seats until the last moment as queuing when you already have seats just seems like madness

On the plane I was placed next to a large young man who only broke wind once, so I guess that was a bonus

Apart from that 99% of the journey was uneventful apart from a slightly shaky landing which Joss did not appreciate at all

Going through customs Joss had a blocked ear and so kept leaning sideways in a really weird way - I pretended to not know her

Eloise, Paul and Kieren has all come to collect us and despite our extra poundage we still managed to get in the car

I only hope I have the same luck when trying on my work trousers on Tuesday .....
